Just in case you’re wondering whatever happened to the logo store on YouTube, Somehow it became disconnected. All of the YouTube settings according to their IT people are correct and responding. All of the settings from Spring are on and working correctly. Somehow this is not coming through on the YouTube channel anymore. Hopefully one of the third-party IT people will work this out. This outage was reported to us Tuesday, September 20th and at this moment is still not working. It’s additionally frustrating because nothing was changed from channel settings to cause an outage. Both the channel and the store are still working they’re just no longer connected. This is unfortunate because the channel store had only been operating for a few months. Well, it was a strange connection because every description started with the word “unisex”. I’m not sure what that has to do with a coffee mug or a tote bag but it was funny. I asked both sides if they had anything to do with it and neither of them admitted anything. It got so confusing for YouTube/Google tech support that I had to make a short on-screen video of the actual malfunction. I wasn’t sure if they viewed the video but they claimed they did in an email telling me that I needed to work with Spring on getting this cleared up. I contacted Spring tech support and gave them the video link and they’re still working on it. I’ll let everyone know in the community postings when it’s back up and running. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed.
While we are on the subject of things that are “temporarily out of order” let’s talk about the podcast. After 145 podcast episodes, the ScouterStan Commissioner Weekly podcast suddenly stopped. Thankfully it has been decided that with the technical issues finally worked out, it will start up again in Season 8. So for now until next year (2023) this will give you time to download and listen to all the ones you missed. There will be a show announcement through the distributor in December. All of the platforms will automatically be updated by the RSS feed. You don’t have to do anything but click and listen, all the changes are automatically updated. We are planning on adding our 10th platform for the podcast on YouTube. If you’re curious about what that will look and sound like there is a prototype on the YouTube channel now.
